Please take note that our first Sailing Seminar is scheduled for June 30th, this coming Saturday!  The focus will be Learn How to Sail, as well as a refresher course for those who have not been sailing in a while.

This 3-hour seminar will be held at the MYC and sailed in Rhodes 19's under the guidance of MSA instructors from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday. If you would like to sign up for this session, please e-mail Emmett Snyder emmettsnyder@yahoo.com or call him on his cell phone at 978-325-1283.

Please RSVP to this seminar no later than Thursday the 28th of June before 5:00 pm.  It is important that we know how many attendees there will be to set up the boats and instructors. The cost for this 3-hour clinic will be $35 for club members.  

Do not fret if your schedule does not allow you to attend this great opportunity because the MYC has also arranged for its members to schedule private lessons with the MSA instructors at $25 an hour to work on any specific skills that you would like to improve. If you would like to schedule a private lesson, please e-mail or call Emmett Snyder as noted above.

Lessons will be given on the weekends and must be signed up for in advance, and at the latest by 5:00 pm the Thursday prior to lesson.

MSA boat sign out will be on a first come first serve basis. If you wish to join a Sunday race day, or give a try at the new Wednesday night Twilight race, or just wish to sail around and you need a boat to borrow, MSA boats are available to use for the MYC membership. Again sign up must happen through Emmett Snyder who will be our point person with MSA.

The second Sailing Seminar will be held on Saturday July 21st from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm (cost is $35) and will focus on more advanced sailing techniques. Feel free to sign up now, in advance, and let us know what you would like to learn more about and which skills you want to brush up on.
