(Racing Schedule with links to Results & SI's)

         Rhodes 19 Pursuit                  Megabyte Finish

Rhodes 19 Fleet Captain – Charlie Thomas                    Megabyte Fleet Captain – Schuyler Glidden

Greetings all One Design Racers (both current and prospective):

2012 will have a full schedule of racing for both the novice and the advanced racer.  Friendly competition is designed to encourage new racers to take to the course and join the fun.

Sunday Series:
There will be our regular Sunday series of races for Rhodes 19s and Megabytes with the first race on Sunday June 17th and first guns at 1300.  See the main racing page for the full schedule and links to Sailing Instructions.  You can also view the schedule using the online calendar.  Typically we have two or three hours on the water followed by joining the Sunday Social at the clubhouse to share stories and results over a drink.  Advance registration for these races is not required.  The idea is a low pressure environment with fon on the water.

Wednesday Twilight Races and Sunset Bar & Grill:
New for 2012 is Wednesday evening races!  This is the perfect way to relax after work mid week for young and old.  A relaxed racing environment where you can just show up to race.  These races start on Wednesday, July 11th and continue though August 29th.  Just stop in and bring a sandwich or something to toss on the grill after the racing.  These evenings will have short, easy races designed to get people out on the water for some fun.

Summer One Design Weekend:
On July 28th and 29th we will have another of the popular One Design Weekend Regattas packed with two fun days of racing and a dinner for skippers and crews.  Sailing Instructions can be found on the Racing home page and each day the racing will start at 1000.  It is the perfect mid-summer celebration of one design racing!

Borrowing Boats:
If you don't have a boat, it should not stop you from racing.  There are two Megabytes and a couple of Rhodes 19s available for use by MYC members.  The Rhodes have recently undergone renovations to get them race ready.  If you want to arrange for use of one of these boats, contact the appropriate fleet captain at the email link below and join the racing!

Other Events:
Check the Racing home page for dates and times of other popular events including the Crocodile Cup, Vayghan Challenge and more.
