"Here We Go Again"
Aboard the Lindblad ship M/V Islander in the Galapagos Islands - January 28, 2007: First anonymous MYC cruiser: "This has been a great trip, let's do another." Second anonymous MYC cruiser: "That's a splendid idea, how about the South Pacific!" Chorus of MYC cruisers: "Let's do it!"
SOUTH PACIFIC CRUISE Fiji Islands February 16 - 22, 2009
The Fiji Islands, known as the crossroads of the southern Pacific, and once known as the "Cannibal Isles," will be the site of the 2009 MYC Winter Cruise. We will embark on the M/V Fiji Princess, operated by the Blue Lagoon Cruise company, on a 6-night, 7-day excursion around the islands, with plenty of swimming, snorkeling, sightseeing and native culture programs to keep us busy and entertained. The Blue Lagoon Cruise Company has been operating cruises in the Fiji Islands for almost 60 years and is extremely well regarded for the quality of their service and tours. More under "Historical and Cultural Dateline Cruise" at www.bluelagooncruises.com
Fiji is in the middle of the South Pacific and many of us will use it as a stepping stone to further adventures in New Zealand, Australia, and other southern Asia destinations. If there is sufficient interest, we will look into arranging one or more tour packages that will keep our group together as we travel on from Fiji.
We have blocked a set of cabins and negotiated a group early booking discount of a one deck upgrade, so you can pay for a lower deck and get the higher deck.
